I worked for Cats Protection for a number of years. (UK Cat Welfare Charity).
I find the best way to stop a cat from going somewhere is to simply shoo them away.
Please don’t use water. I remember we had two cats come into the shelter who’s owners used water pistols whenever the cat ‘misbehaved’. The cats were extremely nervous and aggresive, and took a long time to find a home.

take a empty coke can, add about 10 pennies in it tape it shut and shake it everytime she gets on the bench. or make a loud sound like a clap.

You have to think of things that will cause something unpleasant to happen if she jumps up on furniture you dont want her to. First thing I would suggest is the water gun, but since you said that doesnt work, well there are a few other tricks I know that may or may not work for you.
One trick I have used that works, is to take a bunch of lightweight aluminum pie pans, and put them up on the furniture you want to keep the cat off of. Put small noisy things, such as coins, washers, etc in the pie pans. Or you could use small amounts of water in each pan, but be forewarned, the water will make more of a mess than the coins and washers. Keep the pans close to the edge of the furniture, especially where the cat jumps up. When she does, she will disturb the pans and knock them over, hopefully startling her enough that she learns to not jump up there anymore! Other than a little scare, it wont hurt her.
Another trick you may try, is to take some balloons and blow them up and anchor them with tape to the furniture, in a similar manner as the pie pans. The balloons will either pop and scare the cat off the furniture, or even if they don’t, some cats are disturbed by the motion of the balloons waving from the air current, and won’t go near them.
Just like people, all cats are different, so these tricks may or may not work at all on your cat. You can always try good old fashioned discipline. Cats do not respond to physical punishment the way dogs do, so you should never strike a cat for doing something bad… they will only learn to not trust you. The DO however, have the ability to learn the word NO, or a similar command (my cats know what GET DOWN means). Whenever you catch the cat on the furniture, just say the command in a firm voice and pick her up off the furniture and put her back on the floor at the same time. Eventually she will learn what you want and will move on her own without you having to move her.
Good luck, I hope this helps! =^.^=

put change in an empty bottle of some sort maybe it will stop but sometimes cats have a determind mind of their own and will continue to do as they please.try catching her at it with the bottle and shooo and skat her at the same time

You could try wiping down your units with a very strong smelling detergent or disinfectant. My cat soon stopped jumping on the units when her paws started smelling of disinfectant. Don’t use anything that might burn or hurt her paws though – TCP worked wonders although the house did smell like a hospital for a few weeks until she got the idea.

I keep a flyswatter handy, and when my cat jumps up on the table, I swat the table close to her a good healthy swat (not her, I would never hit a cat) and it startles her and she jumps down immediately. Now if she even looks at the table all I have to do is pick up the flyswatter and she changes her mind real quick. Most of the time if I am in the room, she won’t even try.
However, I know that when I am gone, she does get up there. I have found cat hair where she is not supposed to be, while she is walking around loking innocent, and I have caught her jumping down when I came in unexpectedly. She knows she isn’t supposed to be up there, but if no one is around to tell her she can’t, she still does. Sneaky.
